Puppets Are Synonymous With Joy, Creativity and Inspiration!
It may appear odd that I am including posts about joy, creativity and inspiration on a blog for an online store selling puppet patterns. Let me explain my reasoning. To me puppets and puppetry were always synonymous with joy and creativity. It makes sense to include posts about joy because puppets really do bring joy to both kids and adults. In order to bring about that joy, creativity is involved.
Puppets, Puppetry and Puppet Making Are Creative
In previous blog posts I’ve written about how puppets can help kids (and adults) express various forms of creativity. Here is a short list compiled from those posts.
• Puppets boost creativity by stimulating kids’ (and adults’) imaginations

• Puppets help kids to express feelings that are hard to share

• Puppets help kids bond with the adults in their lives as they play together. Being silly and having fun with kids is important in the bonding process. It helps kids stay connected which makes them feel safe. When kids feel safe they are more creative.
Puppet making is a creative outlet whether you are sewing a puppet by using one of our sewing patterns or making a simple felt hand puppet using only a glue gun. In order to start that project you need the spark of inspiration.
Why Is Inspiration Important?
Inspiration is important to the creative process. Inspiration can be compared to the spark which lights the fire beneath the cooking pot where you are creating whatever you want to bring into manifestation.
Sometimes in any type of creative endeavor we need a little uplifting inspiration and encouragement. Especially if we are thinking of trying something new or different, like learning how to make a puppet. Also throughout every creative process many times we may need someone to support us and cheer us to keep going forward. Think of this little video called Good Morning World as your cheerleader.
