Our pattern of the month is the Lion!  Even though lions are known as “king of the jungle” they actually don’t live in the jungle.  They live in the grasslands and plains.

  • A male lion’s roar can be heard up to five miles away-loudest roar of all cat species
  • Male lions are the only cats that have manes
  • Female lions do the hunting while the males stay home to guard the pride
  • A pride is a group of 10-15 animals
  • Lions have always been a symbol of strength, power and ferocity
