This blog is all about fun camel craft ideas. We’ve got a free download of a camel paper bag puppet for the kids to make. Another quick craft is to download the camel coloring page from our last blog. After coloring the camel, cut it out and paste it to a craft stick to make a stick puppet!
Here are just a few of our favorite camel craft activities that we found on the web that are simple and fun to do. We also have a paper bag puppet template to download, color, cut out and paste to a paper bag. It was specifically designed to use only one sheet of paper so that it is cost effective for groups of kids.
This adorable camel is made from an egg carton. Instructions can be found at She Knows.
This fun and educational desert diorama complete with camel is from Life Over C’s. What a clever idea to recycle a clear plastic food container. While you are there, check out the other cute craft ideas available.
I have to add making camels with hand prints. I love art made with hand prints. More instructions at Castle View Academy. There are other camel crafts in addition to a couple of book recommendations that you might want to check into.
Have some spare paper lunch bags laying around? Then get ready to turn them into some camel puppets. Use our free camel paper bag puppet pattern designed by The Tucson Puppet Lady herself! It’s a great activity for the kids to color, cut out, glue and then play with.
Need a puppet with a moving mouth and makes expressions? We’ve got the pattern!
And if you are really bitten by the craft bug, you can use our Camel Puppet Sewing Pattern to make your own puppet. It is available as a digital download so you can start sewing immediately. We recommend using fleece and felt fabrics because they are inexpensive and readily available from craft stores. Customers tell us how easy our step by step patterns (with lots of pictures) are to follow especially after watching the video tutorials. In fact you can watch our free video tutorial on how to sew the camel puppet right now!
What our customers are saying:
“I love her patterns. Pattern well written and easy to follow.”
“I love how the puppet turned out. Please keep the patterns coming!”
NEXT BLOG FEATURES BOOKS AND FREE PUPPET PATTERN
In our next camel blog, we’ll be sharing a few books which feature camels that preschoolers (and older kids) enjoy. The books range from fact to fiction. We’ll also have a free pattern download to make a camel hand puppet out of felt. You don’t even have to know how to sew, the whole puppet can be made using a hot glue gun. Stay tuned to our blog to get your free download.
