Goose Craft Activities

In the last blog article we listed some Fun Facts about geese.  We also had a free download of a goose coloring page for the kids (or you) to color.  In this blog we want to share some of our favorite craft activities that we found on the web that are simple and fun to do.  There was so much to choose from – it was hard to make a decision!

What an adorable idea to add feathers to a paper plate goose!  And if you don’t have feathers, you can always make feathers from paper.  We found this at Free Kids Crafts.

Our Whimsical Days had this cute preschool goose craft.  All you need is some white and orange craft foam and glue.  Googly eyes would add that special touch, but, if you don’t have any, a magic marker would do to make the eyes.

This goose or gosling craft is so cute and easy!  We found it at First-School.ws.  The template and instructions are available at the site.  The goose is made mostly from shapes which helps introduce shapes to preschoolers.  As an added bonus the site also offers lessons plans to help round out the learning experiences.

Have some spare paper lunch bags laying around? Then get ready to turn them into some geese puppets. Use our free goose paper bag puppet pattern designed by The Tucson Puppet Lady herself!  It’s a great activity for the kids to color, cut out, glue and then play with.

Need a puppet with a moving mouth and makes expressions?  We’ve got the pattern!

And if you are really bitten by the craft bug, you can use our Goose Puppet Sewing Pattern to make your own puppet. It is available as a digital download so you can start sewing immediately. We recommend using fleece and felt fabrics because they are inexpensive and readily available from craft stores. Customers tell us how easy our step by step patterns (with lots of pictures) are to follow especially after watching the video tutorials.  In fact you can watch our free video tutorial on how to sew the goose puppet right now!

what our customers are saying:

“I love her patterns.  Pattern well written and easy to follow.”

“I love how the puppet turned out.  Please keep the patterns coming!”

NEXT BLOG FEATURES BOOKS AND FREE PUPPET PATTERN

In our next blog, we’ll be sharing a few books which feature the goose that preschoolers (and older kids) enjoy. The books range from fact to fiction. We’ll also have a free pattern download for a free goose hand puppet. You don’t even have to know how to sew, the whole puppet can be made using a hot glue gun. Stay tuned to our blog to get your free download.
