Sloth Craft Activities

In the last blog article we listed some Fun Facts about sloths.  We also had a free download of a sloth coloring page for the kids (or you) to color.  In this blog we want to share our favorite craft activities that we found on the web. We had so much fun looking for sloth craft activities!

This cute sloth is a free printable craft from Learn Create Love.

Here’s another paper craft from DLTK’s Crafts for Kids.  You can print out either a colored version or a black white version that kids can color.

This paper plate craft from Jeddah Mom is so cute!  I love paper plate crafts because plates are expensive and it is fun to see how creative everyone is to make an animal from a plate.

At Kid Zone there are a bunch of wonderful sloth activities for the older kids.  Kids can write their own Sloth Book, do word search, crossword puzzle and more!

Have some spare paper lunch bags laying around? Then get ready to turn them into some sloth puppets. Use our free sloth paper bag puppet pattern designed by The Tucson Puppet Lady herself!  It’s a great activity for the kids to color, cut out, glue and then play with.

And if you are really bitten by the craft bug, you can use our Sloth Puppet Sewing Pattern to make your own puppet. It is available as a digital download so you can start sewing immediately. We recommend using fleece and felt fabrics because they are inexpensive and readily available from craft stores. Our patterns have step by step instructions with photographs. We also have a free video tutorial for each pattern to make sewing even easier.

NEXT BLOG FEATURES BOOKS AND FREE PUPPET PATTERN

In our next blog, we’ll be sharing a few books which feature the sloth that preschoolers (and older kids) enjoy. The books range from fact to fiction. We’ll also have a free pattern download for a felt sloth hand puppet. You don’t even have to know how to sew, the whole puppet can be made using a hot glue gun. Stay tuned to our blog to get your free download.
