Hippo Craft Activities

February 15 is National Hippo Day! And even if you missed National Hippo Day, every day is a fun day to create a hippo craft. In this blog we want to share our favorite craft activities that we found on the web. We had so much fun looking for hippo craft activities! In the last blog article we listed some Fun Facts about hippopotamuses.  We also had a free download of a hippo coloring page for the kids (or you) to color.

Sloths in Books

In our previous blog article we listed a few links to craft projects featuring sloths that we found around the web. We also had a free download of sloth paper bag puppet pattern.

We are continuing the sloth theme with a list of books that we thought would be interesting and fun to pair with a sloth puppet.  We’ve noticed that kids become more engaged during reading when a puppet is used to help bring a book alive.

Skunks in Books

Skunk Craft Activities

In the last blog article we listed some Fun Facts about skunks.  We also had a free download of a skunk coloring page for the kids (or you) to color.  We were kind of surprised at how few skunk craft activities there were for the younger set.  We try to list crafts that are inexpensive and use materials most likely to be on hand.  Here are the ones we thought were easy to do and fun.
