How exciting! Our very first free felt hand puppet pattern is the llama. This little guy was designed for a Who Ate All the Cookie Dough? puppet play. Very simple to make – just cut felt and glue together. You could hand sew it too, if you wanted.
What you’ll need:
• Llama Puppet Pattern PDF
• 2 white felt sheets
• 1 black felt sheet
• 1 pink felt sheet
• 1 tan felt sheet
• Glue (Hot glue, Fabric Tac or any glue that works with felt)
• Black Sharpie
How to Make the Llama Felt Hand Puppet:
Trace the body pattern on top white felt sheet with crayon.
Pin the top white felt sheet to bottom white felt sheet so they stay together when you cut.
Cut the felt along the traced body line.
Glue the two layers of felt together around the edge keeping the bottom open for your hand.
Cut out all the felt features.
Place the muzzle and top head on the body.
Pull back one part of the feature and add glue.
Glue the inner ears in place.
Glue the nose in place.
Glue the eyes in place.
Glue the Pupils and add small white gleams to eyes if desired.
Outline the muzzle with black sharpie to make it stand out.
