Wolf Craft Activities

In the last blog article we listed some Fun Facts about wolves.  We also had a free download of a wolf coloring page for the kids (or you) to color.  In this blog we want to share some of our favorite craft activities that we found on the web that are simple and fun to do.  We were surprised at how slim the pickings were for wolf crafts.

What a cute idea to make a Sock Wolf using an old gray sock!  Kids will need some simple sewing skills to make this adorable bean bag.  All instructions can be found at the site.  Eyes and nose are buttons.  Rice is used as the filler.

Even though this craft is more for older kids, I think it is just beautiful.  It is made from a background of washable markers and a black silhouette.  The craft does need a piece of watercolor paper.  Though in a pinch, a piece of heavy card stock would work as long as not too much water is used.  All instructions for the Wolf Art for Kids is at Craftulate.com.

This Printable Wolf Craft is from LearnCreateLove.com.  You can download the free printable and have the kids paint the wolf any color they would like.  After it is dry, she gives instructions on how to assemble the finished craft.  The assembling directions are after her instructions on how to download.  Craft uses card stock, paint, magic marker and glue.  Since I love googly eyes, adding them is the finishing touch.

Have some spare paper lunch bags laying around? Then get ready to turn them into some wolf puppets. Use our free wolf paper bag puppet pattern designed by The Tucson Puppet Lady herself!  It’s a great activity for the kids to color, cut out, glue and then play with.

Need a puppet with a moving mouth and makes expressions?  We’ve got the pattern!

And if you are really bitten by the craft bug, you can use our Wolf Puppet Sewing Pattern to make your own puppet. It is available as a digital download so you can start sewing immediately. We recommend using fleece and felt fabrics because they are inexpensive and readily available from craft stores. Customers tell us how easy our step by step patterns (with lots of pictures) are to follow especially after watching the video tutorials.  In fact you can watch our free video tutorial on how to sew the wolf puppet right now!

What our customers are saying:

“I love her patterns.  Pattern well written and easy to follow.”

“I love how the puppet turned out.  Please keep the patterns coming!”
