We are continuing the elephant theme with a list of books that we thought would be interesting and fun to pair with an elephant puppet. We’ve noticed that kids become more engaged during reading when a puppet is used to help bring a book alive.
Make your very own felt elephant hand puppet using our free pattern. Very simple to make – just cut felt and glue together. You could hand sew it too, if you wanted.

Our pattern of the month is the Elephant! It is true that an elephant has a good memory. They can remember something for 50-60 years! They also can remember where the herd found food and water in the past. They are doing better than me, some days I can’t find my car keys!

Our pattern of the month is the Frog! The way to tell the difference between male and female frogs is by the size of their ears (located behind the eye). If the ear is larger than the eye, it is a male. If the ear is smaller than the eye, then it is a female.
